Ukraine asked hackers from around the world for help by attacking the Russian cyber infrastructure in response to the Russian invasion, and many hackers sympathetic to Ukraine responded by attacking Russian sites.


An account in the name of Anonymous vowed on Twitter to respond to the Russian invasion, after which the same account came back to mention and tweet, “We are a decentralized resistance movement, and there is no official account for Anonymous,” after many activists differed in their stance on the Ukrainian crisis, and the attacks affected many government and media websites.
